Writing in public # #
For the first time in over twenty years, I am placing a small bet on sharing my writing in public. My biggest challenge is shifting my focus beyond writing to think to include writing to connect and share.
A few projects are currently developing in this space, including this website, a monthly newsletter, and an incipient online magazine.
Capturing landscapes by phone # #
When I travel or am out in nature, I have always wanted to capture and share photographs of the places I visit. I am diving into shooting and editing outdoor photography, starting with the camera on my iPhone 17 Pro.
Enjoying my kids (while I can) # #
My kids are growing up fast! The older girls are done (or soon to be done) with college and establishing themselves as self-sufficient adults. My boy is in his second year of high school and my baby girl is now in middle school. I am astounded at their kindness, maturity, and intelligence.
Being deliberate about artificial intelligence # #
I continue to work as an infrastructure and platform engineer for a growing startup. I enjoy honing my craft while building sustainable and resilient products and teams. Beyond code generation, AI presents opportunities for cultural and technical advances in my field; I am focused on reasoning about AI and leveraging it to bring value to creative work while celebrating human interaction.
